The Coig has launched an exciting new photography competition called #CaptureTheCoig and we are delighted to be offering the monthly prize of a luxury hamper (similar to the one pictured below) filled with delicious local produce from across Ayrshire and the Clyde islands.
In addition to this, every monthly winner will then become a finalist and in with a chance of being selected as the overall competition winner with a prize of a luxury weekend staycation during 2022.

So what is The Coig?
The Coig is Gaelic for 'five', which comprises of five touring routes around Ayrshire and the islands of Arran, Bute and Cumbrae. All of the routes can be explored by car, bike or on foot and showcase the stunning scenery, history, heritage and nature that we have on our doorstep. It's a great way to discover some hidden gems of Ayrshire and there are certainly plenty of brilliant photo opportunities across the five Coig routes.
How to enter #CaptureTheCoig
Avid photographers are invited to share an image of their local Coig area and the story behind it via social media using the hashtag #CaptureTheCoig. The competition will run throughout 2021 and will have different monthly themes.
Launched on 1st March, this month's theme is: LIFE IN LOCKDOWN
