It’s been a busy old summer across Ayrshire with The Open landing at Royal Troon in July and a record-breaking 258,174 spectators descending on Ayrshire’s coast to watch! Although we weren’t out on the links, Geraldo’s was a key player as the exclusive ice cream supplier to the Players’ Lounge.
“It was a pleasure and a privilege to be involved in The Open. The Ayrshire weather threw everything at the players over the week, but hopefully our ice cream sweetened the experience!” – Toni Dawson, Owner and Managing Director
After a summer of fun, Autumn is a time for learning, whether that’s heading back to school or signing up for a training course, and things are no different at here. After several years of persuading, Toni has finally agreed to take to the dance floor for ‘Ayrshire Does Strictly’ along with seven other ‘celebrity’ business and sports figures from across Ayrshire.
“I’ve always been a big ‘Strictly’ fan and anyone who knows me well enough knows I’m usually first on the dance floor as soon as the music starts, but this is completely different and has already got my knees shaking!” – Toni Dawson
Toni will be dancing the Samba with Daniel.
Daniel is currently most of the way through a PhD in engineering. In his free time he trains in Ballroom and Latin. Daniel only started dancing at uni and is excited to see what himself and "Fiery Samba Toni" can get prepared for the show!
The annual event, organised in collaboration with Ayrshire Magazine, is in support of local charity the Kilmarnock Community Sports Trust and will feature a whole host of familiar faces from across Ayrshire! The evening will be hosted by Michelle McManus and it’s guaranteed to be an excellent night out!
