2017 was an exciting year for us at Geraldo's. Since our brand launch in November 2016, we have been working our socks off to roll out our rebrand both in the shop and online. We're delighted with the result so far and hope you are too.
Why rebrand?
We were established 17 years ago as a cheap and cheerful sweet shop called 'Sugar & Spice'. Over the years we have been confused with another local shop with the same name which makes cakes. This confusion, along with our desire to refocus our product offering led us to rebrand our business. As our own brand of ice cream was named in memory of our Dad it seemed obvious that our shop should be named Geraldo's too. And so the process of rebranding began.
Phase one - the outside
With the support and advice from North Ayrshire Council and the expertise of 442 Design, our shopfront was completed last October. Our gable-end sign has brought a smile to many faces and our delicious home-made ice cream has brought a smile to many more!
Brand Launch - celebrating with gin!
We officially launched our new brand at Geraldo's GinFest in November 2016. What better way to celebrate than with a gin or two! It was a sell-out success, so we decided to make it an annual event. Sign up to our newsletter to be the first to know about our GinFests in 2018.
Phase two - the inside
Our second phase of the rebrand involved refurbishing the inside of the shop. We are very thankful of the patience of our customers over this time as we have stripped out shelving, moved walls and repainted. We have some more work still to do, but are really pleased with the huge difference it has made to our little shop.
