In collaboration with the team at Tullibardine, we're offering a FREE miniature 5cl bottle of their 15 Year Old Single Malt with every purchase of a full 70cl Tullibardine Whisky in store on online. In addition to this, with each purchase you will automatically be entered into this week's prize draw to win a bottle of Tullibardine 225 Sauternes Cask Finish. What a prize!
Tullibardine Distillery
Tullibardine is one of the few family-owned, independent distilleries in Scotland, located in Blackford, Perthshire - the gateway to the Highlands. The site dates back to late 1940s as a distillery for producing hand crafted, Highland single malt Scotch whisky.
Having introduced their own on-site bottling in 2016, Tullibardine is now one of the few distilleries in Scotland to distil, mature and bottle their whisky all on site, giving them complete control over the process.
Influenced by the local climate and distilled using water from the Danny Burn, Tullibardine whisky is filled into casks specially selected by their Master Blender to marry the true Tullibardine character with that of the cask. The end result is the birth of the Signature Range and a classic collection of cask finishes symbolising the rebirth of this great distillery.
The Signature Range
A collection of intriguing malts makes up Tullibardine's Signature Range which includes the Tullibardine 225 Sauternes Cask Finish which is the fantastic prize for this week's draw.
This wonderfully golden and rich Tullibardine 225 that has been matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and finished in 225 litre Sauternes dessert wine casks. The light golden colour is carried through to the nose with subtle hints of vanilla and oatmeal. When the dram reaches your palate, you'll get flavours of dates, apples and cinnamon. The perfect dram to enjoy on a warm, sunny afternoon.
The Sovereign
Next up, is The Sovereign, Tullibardine's signature single malt which has been matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels. It is beautifully golden with its floral, sweet barley notes and subtle hints of vanilla. On the finish there is fudge, pear drops and soft spice.
228 Burgundy Cask Finish
The auburn hue of this whisky comes directly from its time spent in the 228 litre barriques that previously held pinot noir from chateau de chassagne-montrachet. You'll find notes of chocolate and cherries dancing on your tastebuds. This rouge tinted Tullibardine 228 is a feast for all the senses and really is a whisky that tastes as good as it looks.
500 Sherry Cask Finish
Matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and then for a period of time in 500 litre Spanish sherry butts, which gives this Tullibardine its gorgeous mahogany colour. With intense toffee apple notes on the nose and sweet dates on the finish, Tullibardine 500 is the perfect dram to unwind with after a long day.
Tullibardine 15 Year Old
This 15 Year Old was distilled after the reopening of the Tullibardine Distillery in 2003. An exceptional single malt, delivering a nose of dried hay and Parma Violets with light touches of baked apple. Notes of freshly baked scones and strawberries marry with delicate spices before a finish of subtle nuttiness. Perfection...
The Murray Double Wood
Last but certainly not least, The Murray Double Wood, the 8th edition of Tullibardine's Marquess Collection, is aged in first-fill bourbon casks before being transferred into first-fill sherry casks for a second period of maturation.
It has a wonderful array of aromas and flavours all working in perfect harmony giving a glorious combination of bourbon creaminess and sherried spices. An outstanding dram to finish with and celebrate week 3 of Whisky Month!
This Week's Prize Draw
The Tullibardine Whisky Prize Draw is open to UK residents only.
With each purchase of a 70cl bottle within the Tullibardine range as listed here between 10am Wednesday 19th May until noon on Tuesday 25th May, you will receive a FREE 5cl miniature of Tullibardine's 15 Year Old Whisky AND automatically be entered into this week's prize draw to win a 70cl bottle of Tullibardine 225 Sauternes Cask Finish. This includes both online orders and purchases in our shop in Largs.
The winner will be selected at random and announced on Tuesday 25th May.
