The first of our 2019 whisky masterclasses has gone off to a flying start with a fun, informal and informative night with our host, Billy Patton from the Isle of Arran Whisky Distillery.
Geraldo's was full of whisky enthusiasts keen to know more about the Arran Distillery and sample a wide range of their whiskies which showcase the variety of styles that come from this world-class distillery.
As the masterclass took place on 24th January, it was a fitting time to celebrate Burns Night. Billy kicked off the evening by offering a wee dram of the Robert Burns malt. This official Arran Single Malt endorsed by The World Robert Burns Federation, proved to be a welcome start to the evening.
Billy then showcased the various styles of whisky that come from this world-renowned distillery including the Arran 10YO, Arran 18YO, The Bothy Quarter Cask, Mackrie Moor and the Amarone Cask Finish. All of which were thoroughly enjoyed by our guests with many describing it as an "informal, friendly and informative night" with a "good selection of excellent malts".
