As we start preparing for the busiest time of year in the shop with new seasonal stock arrivals coming in each week, we look forward to welcoming many of you back to our winter programme of Whisky Masterclasses. September saw the inaugural Scottish Whisky Awards acknowledging newcomers to the industry and recognising some of our favourites. Despite the news that gin has now overtaken on trade sales of whisky for the first time in Scotland (something that was unthinkable a few years ago), whisky is still the tipple of choice with strong sales and loyal followers of independant distilleries such as Arran and Springbank.
We landed a real coup this month being the very FIRST retailer to have the new look Arran Whisky available on the shelves and online. We absolutely love the new look and so we're planning another Masterclass with the distillery in 2020.
With the rebrand being rolled out across the range, we've a fantastic offer on the Arran Bothy Quarter Cask now reduced in price and a great tasting malt which recently won Gold in the World Whisky Awards. It's no wonder they've carried it forward across the new core range.
Whilst there's still some sunny September days to enjoy, here's to watching the sun go down with a dram in hand and soaking up the last of our beautiful Scottish sunsets this autumn.
