Benromach 10 Year Old

This week (until Wednesday 5th June) we are featuring the Speyside Benromach 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Benromach 10 Year Old Single Malt Whisky

Based in a little town called Forres in the famous Speyside region of Scotland, the Benromach Distillery is independently owned by Gordon & Macphail. This distillery is known for its innovation as they experiment with different cask finishes, new styles and peating levels. They were also the first distillery to release an organic whisky, as certified by the Soil Association, in 2006.

Benromach 10 year old is a beautifully balanced single malt whisky with a light touch of smoke.  Using the finest natural ingredients, the three distillers from Benromach distillery orchestrated every second of the distillation process; there are no short cuts to perfection. Every cask is hand-filled, hand-weighed and hand-stamped before maturing for many years in their traditional dunnage warehouses. This is what creates the gorgeous classic pre-1960s Speyside character.

Presented in a beautiful gift box with rich copper tones, this would also make a great present for a whisky loving dad on Father's Day.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Rich sherry with fruit & nut chocolate, delicate spice, green apples, malty biscuit and a touch of light peat smoke.

Taste: Juicy raspberries and brambles, sherry, creamy malt and a light peat.
