Award-Winning Drams

Whisky Month and World Whisky Day come hot on the heels of one of the biggest spirits competitions: the San Francisco World Spirits Competitions (SFWSC). For over 40 years, the SFWSC has recognised excellent spirits and whiskies from around the globe.

As purveyors of premium products, we are proud to stock several of these award-winning whiskies and spirits! Here are just a few of our favourites:

Arran 10 Year Old 46% Single Malt Scotch Whisky

SFWSC 2024 Double Gold Winner

Easily the most decorated whisky on our shelves, and for good reason! This is a classic expression of Arran where fresh and unique island style is captured beautifully in their multi-award-winning 10 Year Old Single Malt.

Gaining Gold and Double Gold awards from international spirits competitions such as the San Francisco World Spirit Awards and the Scottish Whisky Awards since 2019, this exceptional whisky is certainly recognised on a global scale.

Glen Scotia Victoriana 54.2% Single Malt Scotch Whisky

SFWSC 2024 Double Gold Winner

Glen Scotia Victoriana is an award-winning cask strength Campbeltown single malt, inspired by Victorian times.

Glen Scotia's master distiller hand selects the casks from their reserve cellar, chosen for their rare characteristics and exceptional maturity. Finished in deep charred oak, the result is an exceptionally smooth single malt whisky with subtle wood and vanilla flavours enhanced by a full bodied spicy fruit aroma and a mildly smoky aftertaste.

Tamdhu 15 Year Old Speyside 46% Single Malt Scotch Whisky

SFWSC 2024 Gold Winner

This 15 year old single malt reflects Tamdhu’s commitment to producing ‘only the best’ sherry cask matured whisky. Tamdhu 15 year old has been matured in American and European Oak Oloroso seasoned casks from the cooperages of Jerez in Spain’s ‘Sherry Triangle’.

After the full 15 years in these casks, the result is a complex and rich single malt whisky with notes of apple and spiced fruit on the nose blending with a palate of juicy, vibrant summer fruits and ending in a malted biscuity finish.

Tomatin Cù Bòcan Creation #6 46% Single Malt Scotch Whisky

SFWSC 2024 Silver Winner

Creation #6 from Cù Bòcan can be described in two words: RUM and RAISIN. We add a third - DELICIOUS.

This sixth single malt from Cù Bòcan marries Pedro Ximénez casks and Jamaican rum casks with the signature Tomatin smoky spirit, resulting in flavours of toasted Jamaica ginger cake, Bon fire toffee, spiced plum jam, Amaretto cherries and Daim bar. This is a Scotch whisky tailormade for warm evenings relaxing on the patio!

The Hearach Isle of Harris 46% Single Malt Scotch Whisky

SFWSC 2024 Silver Winner

Last but by no means least, is The Hearach from the Isle of Harris.

The first legal single malt ever produced on the Isle of Harris. 'Hearach’ is the Scots Gaelic name for a native of the Isle of Harris. The final whisky, created by the hands of Harris people and influenced by the island's elements, is a spirit of great character and complexity.

Be transported to bonfires on the beach with notes of toasted marshmallow and popcorn, complemented by a mineralic salinity and a hint of smoke.
