Clydeside 2023 Limited Edition Cask Strength 60.6% Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl
The team at the Clydeside Distillery don’t want their whisky (nor their customers) boxed in by stereotypes or clichés. With the first of their annual Limited Edition releases, The Clydeside hopes to shed a new light on Lowland whisky; highlighting its many beauties while showcasing its manifold virtues and re-examining its presentation.
The first Clydeside Limited Edition release is a cask-strength expression bottled at 60.6% vol., bolstering the intensity of the generally softer Lowland style while exemplifying its finest attributes. Orange marmalade and fruity malt aromas linger on the nose. The sweetness of the malt marries seamlessly with the oak influence from the ex-Bourbon casks in which the whisky was matured. The spices and vanilla explode on the finish as the higher proof finally announces itself.
This Clydeside Single Malt is produced using clear water from Loch Katrine, 100% Scottish barley and then matured in the finest Oak casks. Matured in the finest American first-fill Bourbon barrels.

Packaging is 100% recyclable. Outer tubes have a perforation, allowing for easy recycling of both the tube and the tin ends.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Bursting with sweet aromas of ripe tropical fruit and vanilla pastries.
Palate: Peach, plum, and a surge of tart citrus on the finish.
Clydeside Distillery
In 2017, Tim Morrison opened The Clydeside Distillery, fulfilling his ambition to revive distilling Single Malt Whisky once more in Glasgow. With over a century of whisky making in his family history, starting with Stanley P. Morrison who was one of Glasgow’s most successful whisky brokers, it seems fitting that Tim is now bringing whisky distilling back to the docks of the city.
Whisky runs through Glasgow's industrial heritage like the River Clyde itself. Which is why the gleaming new Clydeside Distillery at the old Queens Dock has a touch of the inevitable about it.
The Distillery is located in the Pumphouse building, which once controlled all the comings and goings for the famous Queen’s Dock. This building pumped hydraulic power for the swing bridge, witnessing ships leaving the docks carrying whisky destined for every continent.
