  • Barra Atlantic Gin begins its journey being Distilled in the distillery's custom-built copper still "Ada", named after the co-founder's daughter and handcrafted by the world-leading Forsyth's from Rothes in Scotland.

    Their distillation method is vapour infused, meaning the botanicals rest on two baskets within the copper still, and as the spirit begins to reach optimum temperature, the vapour that is carried through passes by their complex mix of 17 botanicals, all weighed to the exact gram beforehand. As the vapour passes, it softens the botanicals and collects the essential oils, then continues through the still and eventually becomes the award-winning Barra Atlantic Gin.

    Once the distillation run is complete, they leave the spirit to settle for seven full days and allow the flavours to grow. This adds to the distinctive taste of their Barra Atlantic Gin. From there, they label, bottle, and ship this award-winning gin from their Family Distillery on the Isle of Barra, a labour of love.
