Tasting Notes

Signature Cairngorm Gin

Nose: A gentle aroma reminiscent of late Spring offers up fresh pine and gentle suggestions of green lemons integrated with distinctive aromatics of elderflower.

Palate: A delightful combination of crisp ripe apples married with zesty citrus flavours and enhanced by exotic floral notes. This elegant, balanced mouthfeel becomes increasingly complex with the interplay of secondary flavours of fruit and light spice evolving across the palate.

Finish: Refined from start to finish, the classic citrus and juniper flavours combine with increasingly fruity notes and the introduction of more herbaceous and peppery elements, invoking cucumber peel and tomato leaves.

Cairngorm Reindeer Gin

Nose: Light but complex, you are welcomed by a harmony of dried fruit, orange peel and the sweet spices reminiscent of fruit cake, supported by the familiar notes of juniper.

Palate: A very round and full mouthfeel are complemented by the warm and comforting flavours of Seville orange, cinnamon and baking spice. The spruce character of juniper underpins the experience adding length and complexity.

Finish: Lingering on the finish are the echoes of dried fruits, candied orange peel and crystalised ginger. Subtle hints of liquorice and pine add depth and complexity to this heartwarming experience.

Rothiemurchus Estate Edition Gin

Nose: The delicate piney character of juniper is enriched by ripe fruit aromas of rowan berries and sweet citrus, laced with underlying aromatics of rose hip and heather.

Palate: Characterised by a remarkably soft mouthfeel with light Juniper notes, ripe berries and a subtle spice. The bright citrus notes complement the red fruits and delicate floral aromatics, creating a harmonious blend.

Finish: The fruity and floral mid palate gives way to a more complex finish of heather and pine bark and the attractive flavours of darker fruits characterised by mulberry.
