Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Triple Distilled, boasts a vibrant, smooth character. This exceptional whisky is crafted from the finest British malted barley and the pure water of Loch Katrine, fermented for over 72 hours, and then meticulously triple-distilled in traditional copper pot stills.

The third distillation removes heavier, oilier compounds, leaving only the lightest and purest spirit. This, combined with a high hearts cut point, results in a new make spirit that is wonderfully fruity and bright, which is then matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and virgin American oak casks, married together before bottling.

Non-chill filtered and naturally coloured, this whisky is bottled at 46% ABV. The result is a well-balanced and vibrant single malt, featuring notes of shortbread, coconut, honey, and double cream, with a warming woody spice.

Tasting Notes

Nose: The nose opens up to sweet vanilla and white chocolate leading to fresh summer fruits of aromatic apple, pear and peaches.

Palate: The palate is well balanced and smooth with vibrant vanilla, soft caramel and double cream opening up to succulent orchard fruits and berries followed by delicate floral notes alongside a sweet almond nuttiness.

Finish: The finish is long and lingering with notes of rich honey, anise and black pepper and hints of warming woody spice.

Glasgow Distillery is a freestanding, independently owned distillery that was started by two friends in 2012 with a mission to bring premium spirits distillation back to Scotland’s biggest city.

They are Glasgow’s distillery. Always aspiring to do better, they punch above their weight and aim to push the boundaries.

With just a small team of 16 spirit lovers, they create a portfolio of flavoured-packed spirits across whisky, gin, vodka, and rum. These character-rich products are each inspired by a story rooted in the city’s heritage and history.
