The Tomatin 12 Year Old has been fully matured in sherry casks for 12 years, imbuing it with rich, decadent flavours.

A rich aroma leads into equally rich and decadent flavours of caramelised fruit and peel, alongside hints of leather and chocolate fudge. It all ends with a warm, sweet, cinnamon spice.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich and fruity

Palate: Rich and decadent. Caramelised apple and pear lead, balanced with a wonderful mix of sultana, orange peel, apricot and hints of aged leather. Deeper on the palate with notes of chocolate fudge and manuka honey, along with dried fruit and nute.

Finish: Warm and round with sweet, cinnamon spice.

Tomatin Distillery

Since 1897, Tomatin Distillery has worked hard to build the community that exists today and lies at the heart of everything they do. They produce quality single malt and blended Scotch whisky in Inverness-shire in the Highlands, an area of stunning natural beauty which has rich whisky making traditions dating back to the 1500s.

At Tomatin, soft water from the Alt-na-Frith burn is introduced to tender Scottish barley. This is followed by a long fermentation and slow distillation in tall, slim copper pot stills to create a mellow, fruity spirit.

Then, the science of distillation meets the art of maturation.

As one of the last distilleries in Scotland to have its own in-house cooperage, Tomatin is able to source a selection of the finest quality casks from around the world and create one of the most diverse single malt ranges on the market.
