The Signature Series is a brand new four-part limited-edition series beginning with Edition 1 "Remnant Renegade". The series is a selection of Arran Single Malts which showcase the diversity of Arran's spirit and the values which are important to the Distillery Team. It will feature four unique bottlings specially chosen by Lochranza Distillery Manager Stewart Bowman and given his seal of approval.

Edition 1 is named ‘Remnant Renegade’ and is a real snapshot into the world of Arran Single Malt over the years. The team chose the name Remnant Renegade as the casks that they specially vatted for this bottling have come from a selection of remnant casks held over the years that until now have not been able to fulfil their destiny as bottled whisky.

Production Notes

Remnant casks contain a small amount of leftover whisky from another bottling and very often this liquid can be forgotten about, not enough to constitute a bottling of its own. This exciting vatting represents a true kaleidoscope of casks ranging from some as old as 1997 right up until more recent casks filled in 2017.

There is a variety of different types of casks in the mix, with the majority being ex-Sherry Hogsheads, ex-Sherry Butts and ex-Bourbon Barrels. The biggest concentration of the casks comes from 2010 – 2012 with a wonderful mix of ages on either side.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Toffee apples, vanilla, cinnamon spice

Finish: Long and lingering with orange zest and fresh floral notes. Complex and rewarding.
